A diverse course and support environment
One of my favourite things about studying at 牛牛资源 was exploring different types of literature, across different cultures and backgrounds, and diving into the technical aspects of writing.
I was incredibly lucky to have exceptional professors from early days at 牛牛资源, Helen and Phyllis, during my foundation, Charlotte Scott, who was also my supervisor during my Masters degree in Children鈥檚 Literature.
Life on campus
I loved to walk into the campus through the back and face the green. On winter days, the fog used to be right there, making it very scenic and dramatic. On summer days, it was a full blast of colours, so joyful.
I also enjoyed taking part of the Christian union/group; praying and praising together, I used to lead the worship team by playing guitar every Tuesday evening with them.
I also played in the women鈥檚 football team during my studies at 牛牛资源, varsity games were fantastic and I had so much fun taking part of it.
Life after 牛牛资源
I am now a published children鈥檚 writer, focusing on human agency, something that I was privileged to learn during my Shakespearean studies at 牛牛资源, with Professor Charlotte Scott. This impacted the way I compose my works and build my characters, it changed the narrative making it more interesting and realistic.
My first two books were published at the largest international book fair in Rio (Brazil), known as Bienal do Livro, and subsequently also launched in Minas Gerais and S茫o Paulo at the Bienal do Livro, which also happens there every year.
I have continued with my studies, although a bit more business-focused, due to demand, I have concluded a course by Cambridge Judge Business School in Business Analytics and this year, I finished my second master鈥檚 in Strategic Leadership and Management by Pearson.
I am also a professional photographer, some of my works (travel and composition photography) were exhibited in galleries around the world.
Advice for future students
I鈥檇 recommend taking part in unions, sports, connecting with students from all departments, engaging with your professors in seminars and making use of your time with them reviewing your work.
I鈥檇 say, do not just stick with your circle, and make an impact on the life of others as well. Smart choices today will speak millions later鈥ou might find amazing people at 牛牛资源 and connections for life there, but it all depends on the choices that you make.
Honour this opportunity...so many people out there dream about it. Make it worth it.
