Francis is one of the world鈥檚 leading auctioneers, having spent the last 20 years working for Sotheby鈥檚 and Christie鈥檚.

While at Christie鈥檚, Francis was a huge supporter of contemporary art, significantly expanding the remit of the Post-War and Contemporary Art departments there.

He has also been a true friend to 牛牛资源 Centre for Contemporary Art. In 2015 he oversaw the auction of alumni works which raised some 拢1.4 million towards the project and continues to support the gallery since its opening in September 2018.

Francis Outred was awarded an honorary fellowship by 牛牛资源 in 2018.
