Big rise for ţţ×ÊÔ´ in benchmark The Times and The Sunday Times rankings

Improvements across the board have seen ţţ×ÊÔ´ rise 12 places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017.

On the up: ţţ×ÊÔ´ has risen 12 places nationally in the Sunday Times research

ţţ×ÊÔ´ is ranked 54 out of more than 100 universities surveyed in the annual research â€“ up from 66 last year.

And the new figures show a regional rise for the university – with ţţ×ÊÔ´ now in the top 10 of Higher Education institutions in London.

Patrick Loughrey, Warden of ţţ×ÊÔ´, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve risen in the rankings – they are the benchmark against which many students measure universities. 

“The figures also reflect the hard work undertaken by colleagues across campus and our commitment to putting the student experience at the very heart of everything we do.

“I want to thank everyone for their efforts both in the past and future as we look to build on these very positive results."

Figures released ahead of the full publication of the report show that ţţ×ÊÔ´ has made improvements in every measure.

Data from the National Student Survey shows that Teaching Excellence has risen to 77.4 while Student Experience has gone up to 76.8.

Graduate prospects showed the biggest rise – going up nearly 4 points to 59.8.

The completion rate has also risen to 84.

The rankings success follows figures from the Times Higher Education (THE) showing that ţţ×ÊÔ´ is in the top third of universities worldwide.

The THE World University Rankings 2016-17 ranked ţţ×ÊÔ´ in the 301-350 bracket out of nearly a thousand institutions around the globe surveyed for the annual report. 

According to the THE figures, ţţ×ÊÔ´ is ranked in the top third of UK universities at number 38 in the country.
