Sebastian Sochan BA Fine Art
Exhibitions and performances from BA Fine Art, BA Fine Art and History of Art, BA Media and Communications, and MA Art Psychotherapy students featured in various venues on campus.
The BA Design show, 鈥楳-O-D鈥, took place at the Bussey Building in Peckham and included projects ranging from a raincoat that reacted to contact with acid rain, to an exhibition exploring space and the feminine body.
William Vetch BA Fine Art
William Vetch鈥檚 SuperSoaker is painted using oil on canvas. Both paintings are visually figurative, but are constructed with an abstract methodology, largely driven by colour in order to create an expressive experience. They include references to historical painting through renaissance compositions and Van Dyke horses crossed with boxers, and the all American cowboy boot and an angry boy.
William said: 鈥淭he scenes conjure up a battlefield where the paintings explore the nature of today鈥檚 socio-political situation with regard to masculinity in all its glory and insufficient.鈥
