Donna Jones is Associate Professor of English at UC Berkeley and the author of The Racial Discourses of Life Philosophy: N茅gritude, Vitalism and Modernity (Columbia UP, 2010). She is currently working on two two projects, The Ambiguous Promise of European Decline: Race and Historical Pessimism in the Era of the Great War and The Tribunal of Life: Reflections on Vitalism, Race and Biopolitics.
